Two companies that I'm involved with need to fill key positions ASAP. The first, Mission Research, is looking for a Software Product Manager to start immediately. (Disclosure note: As a former exec at/current advisor to Mission Research, I have a personal equity stake. So I really would like to recruit a great PM.) Here are the basics:
Software Product Manager, Mission Research
Mission Research provides relationship management and marketing software for nonprofits. The company was founded a couple of years ago by the former founders of Chili!Soft (acquired by Cobalt Networks/Sun Microsystems) and is enjoying healthy sales. The company is now looking for someone to join its team as a software product manager. As a product manager, you will have responsibility for one or more Mission Research products throughout the product cycle, including:
- Defining product vision
- Gathering product requirements
- Creating design concept and functional specifications
- Managing change and scope control, and
- Working closely with the product development team to implement and deploy the products
You will work closely with the product development, marketing and support teams, as well as with customers and prospects to ensure the successful delivery of new and updated products. Note: The company is currently based in Pennsylvania, not Silicon Valley.
Contact: Chris Walker, Co-founder and VP of Customer Operations
We're also working to recruit some additions to the Backfence team. (Disclosure note: Omidyar Network is an investor in Backfence, and I serve on the board.) First and foremost, we're looking to add a senior technologist (VP Engineering) to the team and I'll post a more specific job req here as soon as it's ready.
