I howled at this, so I decided to share...As some folks know, I've had a quirky desire for blog graphics for some time. Of course I don't need them, but with a graphic/logo I could then (a) have fun with christine.net stickers, and (b) get inspired for a general blog redesign.
I bumped into a friendly and funny creative guy (who shall remain nameless unless he chooses not to be) at last week's Start conference, and we happened to small-talk about the subject for a few minutes. And apparently, now it will really happen:
Well, I wasn't entirely sure if you were serious, but I went ahead and got started. Considering that you are fond of the Feedburner and Barcamp logos as well as dolphins and your website is a slate color, the first idea that occurred to me was A FLAMING DOLPHIN FIREBALL...a conversation starter...
Nothing like a morning fireball to brighten (heh) your day!
Iterative comments and new ideas welcome. What sort of graphic/logo do you think would work for this blog, flaming dolphin fireball or otherwise?
mmm.. an iceberg dolphin wont work. There should be a flaming effect.

Awesome! You could have a whole series of stickers: smiling flaming giraffe, flaming whale, dog, cat... an entire menagerie! I like!

I like it. And it tastes better than normal dolphins too, because it's... well, meteor.
